Polaroid EE100 ProPack

IMG 4299

The Polaroid Pro pack was released Circa 1980 and was produced by polaroid as a second generation version of the iconic Polaroid 100 series of the 60's and 70's.

The ProPack was produced as the top of the range, the basic camera was the same as the "EE100" and "The Reporter" which where marketed in Europe and the US.

The only difference to the pro pack was a series of flash connections built into the bottom of the camera which coupled with the dedicated Propack flash gun.

The camera was also one of the few polaroids that was dual format, designed to work with both the 100 series rectangular pack film and the 80 series square pack film.

Despite the modern looks and sleek black design, the camera stayed true to its 100 series roots and had a clam shell cover, although this was now fixed and part of the lens opening mechanism, and a 3 element plastic lens as pioneered on the earlier polaroids.

The camera did lose the rangefinder focusing moving instead to a scale focus design and a fixed bright line frame finder which showed the 2 film formats.

One of the last "traditional" pack film polaroids, and (as with them all) quite capable of producing amazing results.
